The means of network management is to solve and manage all computer data network as well as the aim of network management to provide all services for increase data transfer with maximum efficiency and transparency to admin. Its using for get information about performance, errors and also using for remote configuration for all devices on a network.
There are different types of network management depending on five service area. This is defined by ISO (International Organization for standardization).
The five service areas are:
1. Fault Management: Fault management is the factor of network management concerned with detecting, dividing and resolving troubles.
2. Configuration Management: Configuration management is to configure all network devices (switches and routers) and softwares (all computer applications).
3. Security Management: Security Management is the essential process of security. It ties together security information from all parts of organization to give a clear sight of past actions, current position, and future weak points.
5. Accounting Management: Accounting Management allows users to access the network. it is essential to identify Consumers and Suppliers from network resource.
Fault management is a method of path checking to isolate and short out the problems on data network . It covers functions such as notice, isolate, find out the cause and correct malfunctions in a network. The objectives of doing fault management are to boost network availability, reduce network downtime and restore network failure rapidly so it’s a important part of network management.
